  • Ana Vogelfang (Buenos Aires, 1982)

Architect and artist, Vogelfang studied at the University of Buenos Aires, at the Technische Universität Berlin - TU Berlin and at the MFA Städelschule, Frankfurt am Main. In the last years she has been developing a teaching career in different institutions, working together with distinguished professors such as Isabelle Graw at the Universität der Künste in Berlin.

The conceptual framework of her pieces relies on stories and characters. Her paintings constitute a new context for her tales, which, taken from real life, are re-told through images, which now circulate in other spaces with new audiences.

“Porteña” (from Buenos Aires), lived in Berlin for many years and since then has written in different national and international media, extending her visual narrative through writing. Just as the image is the foundation for the unspeakable, her prose allows her to expand the limits of the visual to other perspectives, conceptualizing her work as a whole where each medium is a channel of ideas, and not the other way around.
